We’re pleased to announce its white chocolate day!
Make a list of important things to do today. At the top of your list, put “eat chocolate.” Now, you’ll get at least one thing done today.”- Gina Hayes
For all you chocoholics around the world, you’ll be delighted to hear of the dedication to white chocolate today. We raved about world chocolate day on the 7th of July but today marks an even better day… white chocolate day! White chocolate is often stated as a fake chocolate because it’s made from cocoa butter not cocoa solids but we say alleluia for its scrumptious taste and melt in your mouth texture. Considering that it contains the main ingredient in making chocolate, I think it’s fair to say that it definitely isn’t ‘fake’. Today we can show how much we love white chocolate!
There is nothing sweeter than the taste of white choc. Compared to its cousins dark and milk, white is made of cocoa butter, milk, solids and sweeteners making it almost too much for those savoury fans. White chocolate came about because it was a convenient way to make use of excess cocoa butter and we’re very glad it did.
There can be many taste differences in the quality of white chocolates.
For a delicious snack, we’ve got a whole range of white chocolate treats to tickle those taste buds and we’ve narrowed down our favourites:
- · USA White Chocolate KitKat Bars:
- · Reece’s White Peanut Butter Cups:
- · Hannah’s White Jazzles:
- · Free’ist Strawberry & White Chocolate Bars:
Appleton Sweets also sell a huge variety of white chocolate gifts for friends and family on those special occasions.
Not only is white chocolate perfect as a snack or gift, it also has many other uses including cooking purposes for use in various recipes. A lot of recipes just wouldn’t be the same without the sweet taste of white chocolate. You need to be careful when cooking white chocolate though as, unlike other chocolates, it has characteristics which melt at very specific temperatures. Some of our favourite white chocolate recipes include the white chocolate cheesecake, white chocolate ice cream and white chocolate ganache.
We recommend making some simple white chocolate and raspberry pancakes to celebrate this wonderful day. With a recipe method of around 15 minutes, you can’t say no! Pancakes are subtle enough to allow you to fully appreciate the flavours of white chocolate while raspberries give a tang of flavour and compliment the chocolatey taste.
How will you celebrate white chocolate day?
